Today, PCIGR received the first commercially available TIMS (thermal ionization mass spectrometer) manufactured by Nu Instruments.

Prior to installation, a team from Bird Construction, along with PCIGR staff and Nu Instruments engineers, carefully unloaded and unpacked the crates. Over the next 3 weeks, the Nu engineers and PCIGR staff will be working hard to install and test the instrument.

The TIMS was developed using Nu’s field-proven variable dispersion multi-collector technology to improve the versatility and overall performance of this long established analytical technique.
