Dr. Weis is currently attending the Goldschmidt conference this week in Prague, Czechia. She and Dr. Catherine Chauvel from the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris, France, have a session named in honour of them: Session 02l – Chemical Heterogeneities in the Earth’s Mantle, in which several post-doctoral fellows and PhD students from PCIGR are presenting, along with Professor Lauren Harrison from Colorado State University.
Speaking with the European Association of Geochemistry, Dr. Weis shares her insights and advice for women and young scientists in geology and geochemistry, and how their participation bodes well for the future of studying mantle geochemistry.
