Today, PCIGR received the first commercially available TIMS (thermal ionization mass spectrometer) manufactured by Nu Instruments.
Prior to installation, a team from Bird Construction, along with PCIGR staff and Nu Instruments engineers, carefully unloaded and unpacked the crates. Over the next 3 weeks, the Nu engineers and PCIGR staff will be working hard to install and test the instrument.

MAGNET recently held a volcanology field workshop in California (June 14-21, 2014), with 25 participants from the undergraduate to postdoctoral level, plus staff and faculty from UBC, McGill, University of Toronto, and Université du Québec à Chicoutimi.
